Miley Cyrus appears to be fed up and has taken to social media to condemn gun violence, the shooter and President Trump also.
“The Voice” coach on Monday, posted an image of text to her Instagram listing all the victims of the violence. Then in an emotional caption; she howls how sickening such an act is and also highlights the shooter as a terrorist and a “WHITE AMERICAN MAN!”. Later she notes that she is equally “embarrassed” and “disgusted” by her own country for not taking action on gun violence.
The star was prompted to write another post because the first got a lot of attention. So later, in the second one, she calls out Donald Trump and his reply to the tragedy.
She said; “I’d like to believe that EVERY person who takes the life of another being is ‘mentally ill;’” quoting the president’s words. “It’s hard to conceptualize that a sane human could commit such a hideous crime. BUT I am sorry Donald Trump this absolutely is a ‘GUNS SITUATION.’”
And the singer went on after the critics of her earlier post; who noted that the gunman’s skin, sex or color shouldn’t matter. She noted that she believes that things like skin color, religion and gender seem to matter when it comes to marking terrorist activity.
“DONT START to be all innocent! Gender, race, & religion HAS and continues to matter for all the wrong reasons & that’s only the beginning of how backwards this country is!”
Finally, this Instagram outburst was ended with an attempt to show she’s not villainizing white Americans by posting three images of her together with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and her two brothers, Trace and Braison.
